The first step in the commercial roofing process is an inspection of the current roofing system. This inspection will address the overall condition of the roof as well as determine components of the roofing assembly.

The second step is a crucial step, which involves a short meeting to discuss your basic options. This meeting can usually be performed at the time of the roof inspection. During this meeting you can discuss with your roofing professional, your current problems and expected goals. You can discuss your budget, your warranty requirements and any phasing information. Can the roof be repaired? Is it possible to restore the roof? Does the roof need to be replaced, and if it so what type of roof system (PVC, TPO, EPDM, Modified Bitumen) is best for your building? How much insulation is needed, if any? These are all questions that require answers before an accurate specification and cost estimate can be created.

After the initial meeting your Authorized Estimator will create a roofing specification based on your budget, warranty requirements, and the condition of the existing roofing system. Upon completion of this commercial roofing specification, your cost estimate and proposal can be drafted.
